Fishing Along The Forgotten Coast

Some of the best fishing along the Forgotten Coast is found right here in Gulf, Franklin, and Bay Counties.  Whether you are a saltwater or freshwater fishing enthusiast, our area offers both.  Our area is comprised of many bays, creeks, lakes, and rivers as well as the Gulf of Mexico.  It’s truly a fisherman’s paradise.  Some of the most popular saltwater fish species are Flounder, Grouper, Redfish, Spanish Mackerel, and Trout.  For fresh water, some of the most popular are Bream, Catfish, and Shellcracker.   The best way to experience fishing in our area is to book a private charter with one our area licensed fishing guides.

Your gateway to paradise awaits you at these public beach access points along the shores of the Gulf of Mexico and St Joseph Bay.  Our area offers 43 miles of beaches to explore and enjoy.  Driving in designated areas is permitted with the proper beach driving permit.

Blast on the Bay kicks off Thursday evening at the Windmark Beach Green. Blast on the Bay Music Festival features songwriters singing their hit songs for big names such as Garth Brooks, Blake Shelton, Florida Georgia Line, George Strait, and many more. There are over 30 artists performing at 10 venues in the Port St Joe area this weekend. Tickets will be available at the various venues.
