Gulf front land on the Forgotten Coast doesn't come along often. Gulf front land with native dunes, real depth, and a path of its own down to the beach comes along even less. Lot 11 in Indian Palm is one of those.
The first thing you'll notice is the path. It's a sandy trail cut through the sea oats, with dense native vegetation on both sides, and it runs straight down to the Gulf. The shoreline here has been left natural, and that's the kind of setting people tell me they've been looking for, and most of them have been looking for a while.
More land than most Gulf front lots
This lot covers 0.54 acres and runs 470 feet deep, with fifty feet of Gulf frontage. That depth is what sets it apart. A lot of Gulf front parcels around here give you room for a house, a driveway, and not much else. Here you've got space to think about where the house should sit, how much dune you want between your porch and the water, and what to do with everything behind it.
Not that 30A
If you're coming from out of state, here's a quick note. This is County Road 30-A in Gulf County, not the 30A over in South Walton. Ours runs out of Port St. Joe toward Cape San Blas and Indian Pass, and it still feels like the old Florida a lot of folks remember. The traffic is light. The pace is slow. You'll see more pelicans than stoplights.
You're close to everything that makes this stretch of coast worth living on. Downtown Port St. Joe has Reid Avenue for dinner and a walk. St. Joseph Bay is right there for scalloping in season and paddling the rest of the year. Indian Pass Raw Bar is a short drive for oysters, and St. Joseph Peninsula State Park sits out at the end of the Cape when you want miles of beach with nobody on it.
Room for the home you've been picturing
Once you've found the land, the fun part starts. Picture coffee on a porch facing the water, the kids heading down that sandy path with a boogie board, and quiet evenings listening to the Gulf roll in. We work with some of the best builders, surveyors, and designers on the Forgotten Coast, and we'd be glad to introduce you to the folks who can help bring your plans to life.
Come walk it
Lot 11 in Indian Palm is offered at $599,000, MLS 329458. The best way to understand this one is to stand at the top of that path and look down it toward the water. If you'd like to see it, give me a call or send a text at (850) 340-1213 and we'll set a time.
