Apalachicola

Apalachicola real estate is set in a town that is filled with old Florida history and small-town charm.  Apalachicola is undoubtedly one of the most historic cities in Florida. The city is located where the Apalachicola Bay meets the Apalachicola River. Europeans (the Spanish) first settled in Apalachicola in 1705 in a fort built near the Apalachicola River. The United States acquired Florida in 1821 and in 1828 the city (then known as Cottonton) was incorporated and renamed Apalachicola.
